1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Ghana govt undertakes construction of 109 roads in Central Region

A total of 109 roads are under construction in Ghana’s Central Region. Out of the 109 road projects, 28 are being implemented under the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), 55 under the Department of Feeder Roads, and 26 under the Department of Urban Roads.

Funded by the national government through loans and grants, the roads under construction in Ghana include the Cape Coast inner-city project, Cape Coast-Kakum road, Swedru town roads, Twifo Praso Bridge, Assin Fosu town roads, Supredo Bridge at Mfantseman Mankesim to Abeadze road, Bawjiase road Gomoa Dawurampong road, among others.

A total of 89 more roads have been identified and some already advertised will soon begin construction.

The Central Region’s road network is approximately 5,695 km, 1,156 km of which is under the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), while 3,150 km and 1,390 km are under the Department of Urban Roads and Feeder Roads respectively.

Thirty-three percent of the entire network is so far paved or has bitumen surface, 41 percent is at the gravel stage, and 26 percent at the earth stage.

Plans are also afoot for construction of interchanges such as the Tamale, Pokuase and Obetsebi-Lamptey.
